Located at 1340 Inverness Farms Rd, Martinsville, Indiana. Take 67 South 2.8 miles from the 39 bypass stoplight. Turn right on Inverness. Drive uphill .4 miles to house on the left. Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10-9 by appointment. Open Studio 10-4 second Saturday of every month.

What We Do

A Taste of Art - Wine and Paint Events

Taste of Art events have all the ingredients for a great time! You provide a group of 5 or more for 3 hours of creative fun. I'll provide cheese and crackers, coffee, tea, and wineglasses. Bring your favorite wine. Choose to paint on a 16X20 canvas or or a set of 4 wineglasses. $35 per person.

A Tiny Taste of Art - For Kids!

 

Provide a group of 5 or more kids for this paint-a-long, snack and drink event. Kids paint on a 8X10 canvas. This two hour event costs $21 per child. Great for parents night out.

Classes - Home School Art Ed and Others (Ages 5-17)

For 6 weeks, and for an hour and a half each week, kids ages 5-17 can enjoy classes that help find their artistic ability! Private $125. Two or more artists $100 each.

Ceramics - Here, artists learn the basic skills and knowledge to throw the wheel. This includes glaze, firing, use of tools, and up to 1 lb. of clay per session. Extra clay can be purchased at $1.80 per lb.

Still Life Oil Painting - In this class, artists study color theory and values as well as learn the basics of still life painting with the use of oils, supplies are included with this class!

Drawing - With this class, artists can learn the basics of drawing while exploring line value, texture, light, and more! this class includes a Sketchpad and Pencils.

Handbuilding with Clay - Learn coil and slab techniques to create pottery. Includes glaze, firing, use of tools and up to 1 lb. of clay per session.

Author / illustrator - Here, artists choose an animal to be the main character in a book they write and illustrate. They will sculpt their animal with clay, glaze it, then write and illustrate their story in a hardcover book that will be a keepsake to treasure forever! Supplies included!

Other Classes (For Adults and Youth)

Pottery - This classs for beginners will give you the skill and knowledge to throw on the wheel. Includes instruction and use of tools. Clay must be purchased at $1.80 per lb. and increases .50 per each extra lb. A $2 glaze/firing fee will be charged for each pot purchased. Currently have four wheel.

These below prices apply to the Pottery, Painting, and Drawing session.

Adult +18 2 hours Private $25 Two or more $20 each

Youth 5-17 1 1/2 hours Private $22 Two or more $17 each

Painting - Learn to paint with water mixable oils or acrylics. Bring your own supplies or purchase them at the studio. Palette of paint oils - $8 or acrylics - $5. Canvas prices vary.

Drawing - Learn the basics of drawing. Come to class with a sketchpad, drawing pencils, art gum eraser and a blending stump.

Open Wheel Time - For those who have basic skills and just want to practice. Purchase a minimum of 5 lbs. of clay for $9. You will be responsible for maintaining any left over clay and trimming of your pots. Storage space for your clay will be provided for those who come weekly. You are responsible for all the cleanup to the satisfaction of the owner. $8 per hour. A $5 fee for wheels not properly cleaned.

Open Painting Time - Need a place to get creative? EAC is the perfect place when you want to escape all the distractions that pull you away from feeling artsy. Bring your supplies or purchase them at the studio. You are responsible for all the cleanup. $8 per hour. A $5 fee for brushes and area not properly cleaned.

The studio will be open 10-4 pm on the second Saturday of every month as a part of the Hendricks Co. Cultural Trail. Get a special rate of $4 per hour for open wheel and open painting on this day. Call ahead to reserve a seat.
